We participate in the We Honor Veterans program. As a Level 5 partner, we consider it an honor and a privilege to provide excellent healthcare to our nation’s heroes.

Our Veterans’ Hospice Program
Our team is part of the National Alliance for Care at Home We Honor Veterans program as a Level IV partner. This means we have earned a special certification as a hospice provider which makes an effort to honor and support our local community veterans. Veterans are so much of a priority for us, we jump through hurdles throughout the year to document and schedule veterans-specific events so we can maintain this certification!

- Connection to county Veteran Service Officers (VSOs) for service-related disabilities through the Department of Veterans Affairs
- Resources in the community
- Flag lines at veteran funerals
- Flag pinning for hospice patients
- Support for family survivors of a patient

I’ve lived a long, full life, one with many twists and turns but I wouldn’t change a thing. I was born in Kennett, Missouri July 14, 1926 to a mom who worked in a shirt factory and got a nickel for every shirt she ironed and a dad who was a logger. At 15 I moved to Alabama where I worked machinist and welder jobs, attending the National Youth Association (NYA) Finishing school outside of Mobile.
