We participate in the We Honor Veterans program. As a Level 5 partner, we consider it an honor and a privilege to provide excellent healthcare to our nation’s heroes.

We acknowledge, recognize, and appreciate the service and sacrifice of the veterans we serve. Staff and volunteers receive training so they may understand veterans’ unique challenges and needs in quality hospice care.


Our Veterans’ Hospice Program
Our team is part of the National Alliance for Care at Home We Honor Veterans program as a Level IV partner. This means we have earned a special certification as a hospice provider which makes an effort to honor and support our local community veterans. Veterans are so much of a priority for us, we jump through hurdles throughout the year to document and schedule veterans-specific events so we can maintain this certification!

We provide compassionate care, express gratitude in myriad ways, and offer programs to both veterans and their families. As a veteran hospice provider, we offer a wide range of resources for veterans and families. These resources include:
- Connection to county Veteran Service Officers (VSOs) for service-related disabilities through the Department of Veterans Affairs
- Resources in the community
- Flag lines at veteran funerals
- Flag pinning for hospice patients
- Support for family survivors of a patient

The VA or community-based healthcare providers can refer veterans to ClearPath Healthcare. Veterans can also contact us directly to discuss our services. I’ve lived a long, full life, one with many twists and turns but I wouldn’t change a thing. I was born in Kennett, Missouri July 14, 1926 to a mom who worked in a shirt factory and got a nickel for every shirt she ironed and a dad who was a logger. At 15 I moved to Alabama where I worked machinist and welder jobs, attending the National Youth Association (NYA) Finishing school outside of Mobile.
